Bhubaneswar, 27 April (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday congratulated the Odisha Senior Men’s Roll Ball Team for securing a bronze medal at the National East Zone Senior Roll Ball Championship 2026 held in Shillong.

In a message shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the Chief Minister praised the team’s achievement and extended his best wishes to the players and coaching staff. He expressed confidence in their continued progress and a bright future in the field of sports.

“Congratulations to Odisha’s Senior Men’s Roll Ball Team, the bronze medal winners at the National East Zone Senior Roll Ball Championship 2026 held in Shillong, Meghalaya. Wishing all players and coaches a bright future and continued success,” Majhi stated.

The championship concluded recently at the Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, where Odisha delivered an impressive performance to finish third, adding another achievement to the state’s growing presence in roll ball.

The two-day tournament featured teams from multiple states, including Assam, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, and witnessed several high-intensity matches.
