Three Bangladeshi women arrested from Pune’s Budhwarpeth, 4 prostitution dens locked


Pune, 27 Apr (HS): Three women native of Bangladesh

were arrested from Budhwarpeth of Pune. Pune police also locked four prostitution

dens in the area. Faraskhana Police Station registered an office under the

POCSO (The Prevention of Children from Sexual Offence) Act, 2012.

Police sealed the dens as the space for sexual

exploitation of minor girls were being made available. Pune Commissioner of Police

Amitesh Kumar directed Senior PI Prashant Bhasme of Faraskhana Police Station to

initiate action. The Bangladeshi women were illegally staying in the area.
