Hooghly, 25 April (H.S.): The BJP staged a show of strength in the Serampore assembly constituency on Saturday, with party national president Nitin Nabin participating in a roadshow in support of candidate Bhaskar Bhattacharya.

Party workers and supporters turned out in large numbers, displaying enthusiasm during the event. Nabin waved at people gathered along the route, while many local residents stepped out of their homes to catch a glimpse of the BJP leader.

The roadshow began from the Ghoramara area of Serampore and proceeded past Gate No. 4, moving towards Rishra station. The route was lined with party flags, banners and slogans, reflecting the charged election atmosphere.

Political observers believe that such large-scale roadshows ahead of the polls are likely to give a boost to the BJP’s campaign in the region.
