Prayagraj, April 24
(HS): Severe heatwave
conditions are expected to persist in the region over the coming week, with
maximum temperatures reaching 45–46°C. Rainfall is unlikely, and the atmosphere
will remain dry, leading to moisture stress and heat stress in crops. Farmers
are advised to irrigate lightly in the morning or evening and apply mulching to
their fields. The intense heat may cause flower drop and impact yields.
Provide shade, cool water,
and proper ventilation to protect animals from heatstroke. Avoid working in the
fields during the afternoon and exercise caution. This weather is critical for
crops, livestock, and the health of farmers, so take all necessary precautions.
