Palghar, 21 Apr (HS): A powerful blast in a

firecracker factory on Tuesday noon killed two workers. Four others received

serious injured.

The deceased have been identified as Bhavesh Dilip Wavre

of Jamghar and Monika Sachin Padwale of Palsai.

The unit started operation from April 10 with the

deployment of about 30 workers for preparing material for making firecrackers.

The injured have been admitted to Wada Rural Hospital.

District Disaster Management Officer Vikenand Kadam

said that the rescue operations were in progress, and investigation into the

blast has been initiated.
