Dibrugarh, 02 April (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday campaigned for BJP candidate Rameswar Teli in the 90 No. Duliajan assembly constituency, expressing strong confidence in a sweeping victory for the party in the ongoing elections.

Addressing the media amid adverse weather conditions, the Chief Minister said that the enthusiasm and turnout of the people clearly indicate that the BJP will secure a record number of seats in Assam this time. He remarked that the public support witnessed during the campaign reflects growing trust in the party.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister arrived at Dirial Tea Garden in Duliajan by helicopter and addressed a large gathering. During his speech, he asserted that Rameswar Teli would win the seat by a margin of 30,000 votes.

Highlighting unity among communities in the state, Sarma said that all sections of society are happy and standing together. He also took a swipe at critics, mentioning that while some international media outlets troll him, the people of Assam affectionately refer to him as “mama,” and questioned the relevance of such criticism in the state’s political discourse.---------------
