Prayagraj,
April 19 (HS): Under the able guidance of General Manager North Central Railway,
Naresh Pal Singh, a free and selfless water service campaign is currently being
run at all the district stations under North Central Railway Bharat Scouts and
Guides Headquarters, Prayagraj.
In
this vein, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya today, the North
Central Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides set an example of service. It should
be noted that, courtesy of Dr. Chetna Gupta, packets of Frooti were made
available for distribution among passengers. These packets were handed over to
the headquarters' nominated officer and District Vice President, Ayushi
Bhatnagar, for distribution.
Ayushi
Bhatnagar, along with the leaders of the Subedarganj unit, served passengers at
Subedarganj station in the scorching heat. Under her leadership, Scout-Guide
volunteers not only provided cold water to passengers in the general
compartment of the Jammu Mail Special train, but also distributed fruit juice
packets.
While
people are choosing to stay indoors to escape the scorching heat and heatwave,
members of the Scouts and Guides are dedicatedly quenching the thirst of
passengers on the platform. Passengers expressed their delight at this selfless
act by the Scouts and Guides and praised the team. Railway officials and the
general public are praising this humanitarian gesture. The North Central
Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides are always fully committed to social service
and public welfare.
