April 14 (HS): On April 14, 2026, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the
Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, a massive infrastructural project. Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has been actively examining the project,
notably the parts in Saharanpur, which is an important step in the project's
final phases of completion.
The
effort is consistent with the Developed UP@2047 strategy, which
aims to improve infrastructure, increase investment, and provide speedier
transit to Western UP.
In
a post on X, he mentioned, “Today, the land of Saharanpur is going to witness a
historic moment of development, trust and connectivity. Respected Prime
Minister Shri @narendramodi Today, Mr.
Modi will dedicate to the nation the Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor, built at
a cost of Rs. 12,000 crore, connecting Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
This is not just a road project, but a bridge to new momentum, new
connectivity, and new possibilities for a New India. This new route
between Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand will reduce travel time,
accelerate industrial activity, and create new dimensions for tourism.”
