Bhubaneswar, 14 April (H.S.): On the auspicious occasion of Maha Bishuba Sankranti and the Odia New Year (Nababarsha), Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, along with Deputy Chief Ministers Pravati Parida and Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, extended warm greetings to the people of the state, wishing them happiness, peace, and prosperity.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the people, stating that the sacred occasion of Odia New Year and Maha Bishuba Sankranti is a time to celebrate the state’s rich cultural heritage. He expressed hope that the new year would bring joy, harmony, and renewed energy to uphold and promote Odia identity on the global stage.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida also greeted citizens on the occasion, emphasizing that the festival symbolizes new beginnings and opportunities. She wished that the day would usher in success, prosperity, and positive growth for all.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo called upon the people of Odisha to move forward with renewed determination in the new year. In a message shared on social media, he highlighted the significance of the festival in showcasing Odisha’s culture, heritage, and pride. He urged citizens to work collectively towards the state’s progress and development, while taking fresh resolutions for the year ahead.

Invoking the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Singh Deo prayed for happiness, good health, and peace for all, and encouraged people to remain committed to the service of the nation and the state.
