Guwahati, 13 April (HS): Raijor Dal’s Dalgaon candidate Azizur Rahman has levelled serious allegations against Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi, accusing him of “complete betrayal” and lack of support during the election campaign.

Rahman claimed that he is a victim of Gogoi’s alleged inaction, stating that neither Gogoi nor the Congress party extended any meaningful assistance to him during the campaign period. He further alleged that despite assurances, the Congress leadership failed to provide even basic campaign support.

According to Rahman, Gogoi had promised to provide a 30-second campaign video to boost his outreach among voters, but the commitment was never fulfilled. He also alleged that the Congress party did not extend any form of cooperation in campaigning.

The remarks have sparked political debate, highlighting apparent cracks in coordination between Congress and its ally Raijor Dal in the state.-----------
