Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Naven paid floral tribute to Mahatma Jyotiba Phule on his 200th birth anniversary. He stated that Phule’s ideas on education, women’s empowerment, and social equality remain profoundly relevant today.

Describing Phule’s social reform endeavors as inspirational, he remarked that the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’ and other schemes are in consonance with his ideals and thoughts.

In a statement issued to the media on Saturday, BJP National President Nabin said that the nation still remembers Jyotiba Phule’s contributions.

He noted that Jyotiba Phule undertook several historic initiatives, from establishing the first girls’ school to abolishing the practice of sati, which remain relevant even today.

He emphasized that the Narendra Modi government is continuously working towards women’s empowerment. He referenced initiatives from the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign to making women self-reliant and advancing them in the field of education.

While mentioning the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, National President Naven stated that it provides 33 percent reservation to women, which aligns with Jyotiba Phule’s ideals.

He affirmed that the government’s objective is to ensure equal participation and respect for women in society.
