Gorakhpur, 04 March (HS): On Holi, Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sent warm congratulations to the people, calling

the celebration as a symbol of India's thousand-year-old tradition being

maintained and carried forward with renewed vigour by the present generation.

On Wednesday, the Chief Minister stated, I extend heartfelt greetings to

everyone. India's forefathers have passed down this thousand-year-old tradition

to us, preserving it. This is being carried on by the current generation using

the same energy. The entire state is connected to this sacred festivities, and

efforts are ongoing to guarantee a harmonious community.”

His post on X, reads as follows: “Heartiest

greetings to the people of the state on Holi, the sacred festival of colors,

enthusiasm, and social harmony. I pray to Lord Shri Ram that this sacred

festival of colors brings happiness, prosperity, peace, new energy, and

enthusiasm to all of you.”

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's

leadership in combining history and progress and fulfilling the vision of an

'Aatmanirbhar Bharat'. Today, Uttar Pradesh and the entire country are striding

confidently; we can see a Naya Bharat - an India on its way to becoming Viksit

Bharat. PM Modi's leadership has transformed the country into a symbol of

heritage and development. We may be proud that a leader like PM Modi guided us

through the Azadi ka Amritkaal. Under his leadership, India is fulfilling its

ambitions of becoming a Viksit Bharat and an Aatmanirbhar Bharat, he remarked.

The Chief Minister further stated that 'Holika

Dahan' was conducted peacefully in about 168,000 sites throughout Uttar

Pradesh. During the festival of colors, he fed cows and calves at Gorakhnath

Mandir Gaushala and administered gulaal teeka to them.

Holi signals the beginning of spring and the

harvest season. Deeply entrenched in Hindu mythology, the celebration

represents the triumph of virtue over evil. Holi begins with the lighting of a

bonfire, known as Holika Dahan, and continues the next day with celebrations

incorporating colour play, joy, and unity.
