Guwahati, 04 March (HS): Raijor Dal will release its first list of candidates later this afternoon, party president Akhil Gogoi announced on Wednesday.

Addressing the media, Gogoi stated that the party is preparing to declare between 12 and 15 candidates in phases. The announcement of the first list will be made during a press conference at the party’s central office in Guwahati, he added.

Meanwhile, political temperatures have risen in the Margherita constituency, where Raijor Dal’s probable candidate Rahul Chetree has openly challenged Congress nominee Pratik Bordoloi.

Chetree made a sharp remark alleging that Pradyut Bordoloi had “gifted” the constituency to his son as if it were a birthday present. He asserted that he will definitely contest from the Margherita seat and expressed confidence about taking on the Congress candidate in the upcoming election.---------
