Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, along with Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, met senior Congress leader and Kannur MP K. Sudhakaran in New Delhi according to a statement from

the office of the MP.

The meeting ,as per

the statement underscored unity within the party ahead of the Kerala Assembly elections.

Sudhakaran, accompanied by his family, visited the national leaders in New Delhi. AICC General Secretary K. C. Venugopal was also present during the meeting, highlighting the importance the Congress leadership attaches to Kerala’s political landscape in the run-up to the polls.

Sharing pictures from the meeting on social media, Rahul Gandhi described Sudhakaran as a “true Congress fighter,” praising his unwavering commitment and decades-long service to the people of Kerala. He noted that Sudhakaran had dedicated his life to standing with the people through turbulent times, challenges, and political battles.

Gandhi emphasized that leaders like Sudhakaran embody the strength, resilience, and loyalty that define the Congress party’s grassroots leadership. He also expressed strong confidence in the unity of the United Democratic Front (UDF), stating that the alliance is well-positioned to secure a decisive mandate in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Projecting optimism, Rahul Gandhi asserted that the UDF is moving towards a “big victory” in Kerala, setting an ambitious target of winning around 100 seats in the 140-member Assembly. His remarks are being seen as part of a broader effort by the Congress leadership to energize party workers and consolidate support across the state.

The meeting and subsequent messaging signal a renewed push by the Congress to present a united and confident front as the electoral battle in Kerala intensifies.
