Delhi, 25 March (H.S.): Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi late Tuesday, hospital sources said.

According to sources, she is currently under medical supervision and her condition is being closely monitored by doctors.

Sonia Gandhi had also been admitted to the same hospital in January after experiencing respiratory problems. At that time, doctors had said her bronchial asthma had mildly worsened due to cold weather and high pollution levels in Delhi.

Hospital authorities had then stated that she was admitted as a precautionary measure for observation and medical management. Doctors had described her condition as stable.

Sources said she is currently undergoing treatment and remains under observation.
