Director Pulkit Khare inaugurated event, focusing on industry-based training and
international opportunities
Emphasis on soft skills along with technical proficiency will improve quality
of employment
Lucknow, 23
March (HS): Uttar
Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) has established the 'SpeedUp' Cell,
taking an important initiative towards preparing the youth for global
employment. This cell was inaugurated by Mission Director Pulkit Khare at the
UPSDM office, Lucknow. On this occasion, Mission Director Pulkit Khare said
that the objective of the 'SpeedUp' Cell is to provide training to the youth as
per the actual requirements of the industries, so that they can get quality and
quick employment opportunities after completing the training. He said that this
initiative will not only make the youth self-reliant but will also prepare them
for international employment.
He informed that the 'SpeedUp' model is based on four major pillars - analysis
of industrial demand, preparing youth for employment, effective implementation
of schemes and connecting them with global opportunities. Through this cell,
the needs of various companies will be assessed and courses will be developed
accordingly, so that the gap between training and employment can be reduced. The
Mission Director informed that along with technical training, youth will also
be given special training in soft skills like communication skills, personality
development and workplace behavior, so that they can become capable of working
in reputed companies in India and abroad.
To further enhance the effectiveness of this initiative, EY (Ernst & Young)
has been added as an expert partner, which will help strengthen the quality of
training and industry coordination. The 'SpeedUp' cell will act as a strong
bridge between the government and the private sector, significantly increasing
employment opportunities and improving their quality.
