
Darrang (Assam), 23 March (HS): Tension gripped Dalgawn in Assam’s Darrang district after a violent clash broke out among supporters of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF), leading to vandalism of vehicles and chaos in the area on Monday.
The incident occurred shortly after AIUDF candidate Mazibur Rahman filed his nomination papers. The situation turned volatile in front of the Kharupetia Municipal Board office, where party workers reportedly engaged in a fierce scuffle.
Eyewitnesses stated that several vehicles were damaged during the clash, allegedly by agitated party supporters. The sudden outbreak of violence created panic among locals and disrupted normal activities in the area for some time.
