
New Delhi, 23 March (HS): Tata Group-led Air India and Air India Express will operate a total of 30 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from West Asia, mainly Saudi Arabia and the UAE, on Monday. The airline shared this information in a statement on X, also offering passengers options for re-booking and refunds.
The company said Air India and Air India Express together will operate 30 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region on March 23.
The airline said both carriers will continue their scheduled services on the Jeddah route. A total of 10 flights will be operated between India and Jeddah, including one return flight each by Air India from Delhi and Mumbai. Air India Express will operate one flight each from Bengaluru, Kozhikode and Mangaluru. In addition, Air India Express will operate four scheduled flights from Muscat (including Delhi and Mumbai) and four flights from Bengaluru and Kozhikode to Riyadh.
According to the airline, apart from scheduled services, a total of 12 non-scheduled (extra) flights will be operated from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. These flights will depend on slot availability at departure stations and other operational conditions. Necessary approvals from the concerned Indian and local regulatory authorities are being obtained for operating these flights.
Air India clarified that all flights to and from North America, Europe, Australia and other regions are operating as per schedule. The airline said affected passengers, whose routes have been temporarily impacted, are being given the option to reschedule their travel without any additional charges or opt for full refunds. Air India has requested passengers to apply for re-booking or cancellation through its official website.
