Bhubaneswar, 21 March (H.S.): Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MLA Sarada Prasanna Jena has leveled serious allegations against the state government, stating that the smooth functioning of the assembly is being hindered due to its “stubborn and rigid attitude.”

Jena said that the government has failed to take concrete action in connection with the recent incident at SCB Medical College and Hospital. He alleged that the state government is attempting to shield the Medical Superintendent, while action has been limited only to lower-level staff.

He further pointed out that neither has the Health Minister been asked to resign nor has any decisive action been taken against the concerned Superintendent, raising questions about the government’s intent.

The BJD legislator clarified that his party is protesting through democratic means. However, he alleged that the government is deliberately creating circumstances that are preventing the Assembly from functioning effectively.

Jena has demanded a fair and stringent inquiry into the matter to ensure accountability and restore normalcy in the proceedings of the House.
