West Bengal, 02 March (H.S.)
Union Minister of State for Education, Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, has levelled serious allegations against the Trinamool Congress (TMC), alleging that the party is hatching a nefarious conspiracy to target BJP supporters in its WhatsApp group. BJP workers and supporters who attended Home Minister Amit Shah's Parivartan Yatra rally in the Mathurapur organizational district are being threatened with the cancellation of government benefits like the Yuva Sathi Yojana and Laxmi Bhandar.
Dr. Majumdar also shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat on the social media platform X on Monday morning, containing similar threats. He described this alleged TMC tactic as anti-social, vile, and vindictive. He claimed that the TMC has instructed local booth leadership to identify such individuals and target them for future reference. This revelation exposes the atmosphere of fear and terror prevailing in rural areas, where democratic rights are being attacked.
The minister said that such threats and political vendettas are creating an atmosphere of fear at the rural level. He called for a befitting response to this reprehensible political vendetta against the hardworking people of Bengal and urged the collection of all evidence. This statement comes at a time when the BJP's Parivartan Yatra is gaining momentum across the state.
