Ayodhya, 19
March (HS): President Droupadi Murmu addressed a gathering at the Ram Temple
complex in Ayodhya on Thursday, saying the values of Ram Rajya—characterized by
equality, decency, and social harmony—should drive India's route to become a
prosperous nation. Murmu, speaking on the occasion of the Shri Ram Yantra's
installation in the temple's second-floor sanctuary, hailed her visit as a very
spiritual experience and the temple as a hallowed emblem of India's cultural
and civilizational comeback. Murmu emphasized that the image of Lord Ram's
return to Ayodhya following his triumph over Ravana appears in India's
original, handwritten Constitution, citing it as an example of the country's
efforts to integrate constitutional ideals with cultural traditions.
President
Draupadi Murmu said that she considers it her greatest fortune to touch the
sacred dust of Ayodhya, the city where Lord Shri Ram was born. Lord Shri Ram
himself had described this birthplace as superior to heaven. The construction
of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, the consecration of the divine idol of Ram
Lalla, and the hoisting of the religious flag on the temple's summit are golden
dates in our history and culture. She said that only by following the ideals of
Ramrajya can a nation based on morality and religious conduct be built.
President
Murmu was addressing the people of the country on Thursday after the
installation of Shri Ram Yantra in the Lord Shri Ram Janmabhoomi
temple complex in Ayodhya. President Murmu said that Saint poet Tulsidasji had
composed 'Shri Ramcharitmanas' in this Ayodhya i.e. Awadhpuri and the local
language of the surrounding areas. In Ramcharitmanas, Lord Shri Ram tells
Sitaji that although everyone has praised Vaikunth and it is described in the
Vedas and Puranas, it is world-famous, but even Vaikunth is not as dear to me
as Awadhpuri.
The President said, I feel honored to be
here on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, the beginning of Samvatsara 2083, and the
first day of Navratri. I extend my heartfelt greetings to all Indians and
devotees of Lord Rama, both within the country and abroad, for the New Year. At
the end of Navratri, on Ram Navami, we will celebrate the birth anniversary of
Lord Rama. I extend my greetings in advance to everyone for the sacred festival
celebrated on 'Navami Tithi, Madhumas Punita', i.e., Ram Navami.
Murmu said
that the groundbreaking ceremony of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple at this
most sacred site, the consecration of the divine idol of Ram Lalla, the opening
of Ram Darbar to devotees, and the hoisting of the religious flag on the
temple's summit are golden dates in our history and culture. On the touching
occasion of the consecration, I wrote a letter to the Prime Minister. In that
letter, I expressed the sentiment, It is our good fortune that we are witnessing
the beginning of a new era of our nation's resurgence. She said that we
are all moving forward towards building an inclusive society and a developed
nation. With the blessings of Lord Shri Ram, we will achieve those goals by
2047, or perhaps even before that. The vision of our inclusive society and
developed nation in the twenty-first century is found in the description of Ram
Rajya. Goswami Tulsidasji says, No one is poor, no one is unhappy. No one is
ignorant, no one is helpless. That is, in Ram Rajya, no one is unhappy, neither
poor, nor dependent, nor unintelligent, nor anyone without values.
The
President said that over 250 million people have been lifted above the poverty
line over the past decade, and efforts have been made to ensure their continued
poverty-free lives. The ideal of Ram Rajya represents the highest standards of
economic prosperity and social harmony. Lord Shri Ram's emotional meeting with
Mother Shabari, his affectionate relationship with the Nishad king, his
enlisting the help of the Kols, Bhils, and monkeys in battle, and his respect,
affection, and inspiration to Jatayu, Jambavan, and the squirrel, among others,
exemplify a comprehensive and all-encompassing philosophy of life. In today's
context, I am pleased to see that, along with social inclusion and economic
justice, large-scale national goals have been set and are being implemented for
environmental conservation and animal protection.
He said
that by following the ideals of Ram Rajya, we will all be able to build a nation
based on morality and religious conduct. The motto of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi
Teerth Kshetra is - Ramo Vigrahavan Dharma: meaning Lord Shri Ram is the
embodiment of religion. Only by conducting our personal and collective lives
based on the broader meaning of religion, will we be able to truly worship Lord
Shri Ram. Today, in 'Saket' i.e. the city of Lord Shri Ram's Ayodhya, let us
all take a pledge that we will take the glory of Mother India to the pinnacle
of the world community. May this pledge of ours be fulfilled by the grace of
Lord Shri Ram.
Construction
of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple is the foundation stone of Ramrajya: Yogi
Adityanath - At the Shri Ram Yantra Pratishthapan ceremony in Ayodhya, Uttar
Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi
Temple has become a symbol of India's national temple. It is also the
foundation stone of Ramrajya. The world is rife with wars, chaos, economic
anarchy, and fear, yet in Ayodhya, we are experiencing Ramrajya by fearlessly
greeting the President and participating in the Shri Ram Yantra installation
ceremony.
The Chief
Minister said that India remains India because the penance of sages and saints,
the hard work of farmers, the entrepreneurship of artisans, and the faith of
India have always maintained it as Ek Bharat-Shrestha Bharat. Not
only the people of the state, but also the followers of Sanatan Dharma across
the country and the world are feeling joy by joining the Purnahuti ceremony of
the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Yagya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that no
country in the world has as much population as the number of people who have
come to visit Shri Ram Janmabhoomi, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Prayagraj Mahakumbh,
Mathura-Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.
Bhaiyaji
of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Governor Anandi Ben Patel, Mother
Amritanandamayi, General Secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust
Champat Rai, Treasurer Govind Dev Giri, Trustee Anil Mishra, Member Gopal and
thousands of dignitaries from India and abroad along with saints were present
in the program.
