Guwahati, 19 March (HS): Around 20 candidates of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Thursday collected Form ‘A’ and Form ‘B’ from the party’s state headquarters, Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati, for filing their nomination papers for the upcoming Assembly elections.

Among those who collected the forms include former Rajya Sabha MP Ripun Bora, the party’s candidate from Barsola constituency, Meera Borthakur from Dispur, Shailen Sonowal from Dhemaji, Nandita Das from Hajo-Sualkuchi, and Bubul Das from Jagiroad.

Party sources informed that most of these candidates, who received the election forms from APCC Administrative General Secretary Pradyut Bhuyan, are likely to file their nominations on March 20.

The party further stated that additional candidates are expected to collect the required forms on Friday as the nomination process gathers momentum.----------
