Guwahati/ New Delhi, 18 March (HS): Former Congress MP Pradyut Bordoloi on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on his former party after formally joining the BJP, accusing the Congress of showing “no respect” towards indigenous and community groups.
Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Bordoloi alleged that various communities have distanced themselves from the Congress due to its continued neglect and indifferent attitude. He said the party has failed to acknowledge the concerns of different sections of society, leading to its weakening support base.
“The Congress does not care about anyone. It has ignored all communities, and that is why it is in this situation today,” Bordoloi stated, adding that the party’s lack of outreach and sensitivity has resulted in its current political decline.
He further claimed that the disconnect between the Congress leadership and grassroots communities has widened over the years, ultimately pushing leaders and supporters away from the party.---------
