Sivasagar, 18 March (HS): Akhil Gogoi will file his nomination from the Sivasagar Assembly constituency on March 20, marking the formal start of his election campaign.

Leaders of Raijor Dal on Wednesday collected the nomination papers for Gogoi from the Returning Officer in Sivasagar. Senior leaders and party functionaries from both central and district levels were present during the process, indicating the party’s preparedness for the upcoming elections.

Gogoi, the lone MLA of Raijor Dal and the current representative of Sivasagar, is known for his outspoken stance on key issues in the Assembly. The party highlighted his consistent engagement with grassroots concerns during his tenure, asserting that his connect with the people has further strengthened his position in the constituency.

Party leaders expressed confidence that Gogoi faces no major challenge in Sivasagar and is likely to secure a comfortable victory. They also voiced optimism about the party’s prospects in other constituencies, expecting a strong performance in the upcoming elections.

Notably, Gogoi will formally file his nomination papers on March 20 in the presence of party leaders and supporters.--------
