Raigad, 18 Mar (HS): Three people died in an

accident involving multiple vehicles, near a tunnel near Khopoli on the Mumbai-Pune

Highway. The accident occurred on Wednesday morning as a container truck fell

on a car killing three occupants of the car. The container driver going towards

Mumbai from Pune, lost control over the wheels and fell on a car near the exit

point of the newly constructed tunnel towards Khopoli in Raigad district.

The vehicles involved in the chair accident were

being driver at a high speed. Traffic on

the highway was blocked for some time due to the accident.

Police with the villagers started the rescue

operation. The bodies of the deceased were sent for post-mortem and the injured

were rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police have started investigation into the cause of

the accident.
