Samalkha (Haryana), 13 March (H.S.): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's (RSS) Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha commenced Friday, inaugurated by Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale. Sarkaryavah presented the annual report, reiterating the call for Bangladesh's government to protect Hindus' rights there.
This three-day session at Madhav Srishti campus welcomed tributes to departed luminaries and applauded government gains against Naxalism plus RSS efforts yielding positives in Manipur. Joint Sarkaryavah CR Mukund, alongside Akhil Bharatiya Pracharak Pramukh Sunil Ambekar, addressed media; attendees included Narendra Thakur and Pradeep Joshi.
Mukund highlighted centenary-year expansion: over 5,000 new shakhas across 4,000 sites, household outreach to 10 crore families (including 3 lakh+ villages), and Kerala outreach to 55,000+ Muslim and 54,000+ Christian homes. Over 36,000 Hindu conferences occurred, exemplified by one in remote Arunachal; dual focus spanned organizational growth and harnessing societal goodwill for harmony.
Centenary events launched October 2 last year in Nagpur under ex-President Ramnath Kovind and Bhagwat's presence—preceded by government's commemorative stamp and coin—featured Bhagwat's four-metro lecture series answering 1,000+ queries in 20+ hours.
Homages went to figures like Shivkathakar Satgurudas Maharaj, environmentalist Dr. Madhav Gadgil, ex-Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Saalumarada Thimmakka, archaeologist KN Dixit, Maharashtra's then-Dy CM Ajit Pawar, actor Dharmendra, AVM Saravanan, ex-Mizoram Governor Swaraj Kaushal, educator Vinay Hegde, communist AR Nallakannu, and editor Prafulla Govind Barua.
Mukund stressed organizing ethical societal forces via key conclaves toward 'panch parivartan': social harmony, environmental awareness, pride in self/Swadshi, family preservation, and civic duty consciousness—pathways to national greatness.
RSS aims to unite goodwill for nation-building through October 2026 programs, praying for global peace. Per the report, shakhas grew from 83,129 at 51,740 sites to 88,949 at 55,683, with 37/46 provinces completing home contacts warmly received.
