He prayed for Tamil Nadu's and India's prosperity, recalling young devotee Thiru Purna Chandran, who recently passed away, and offered condolences to his wife Thirumati Indumati Purna Chandran and their two young children.

Critique of State Governance

PM Modi asserted that in democracy, no one fears dissent, yet women's safety remains a grave concern under the current regime. Crime rates have surged, with drugs and illicit activities devastating families. He emphasized that 'Viksit Bharat' (Developed India) is incomplete without 'Viksit Tamil Nadu,' positioning the state as pivotal to national progress. Under the central rural housing scheme, lakhs of families received pucca homes, though state-level coordination lags have slowed some initiatives. Urban upgrades for better amenities, sanitation, and drainage are underway via central schemes.
