Pune, 09 Feb (HS): The Nationalist Congress Party

(Ajit Pawar) earned single-handed majority in Pune Zilla Parishad and Panchayat

Samiti elections in Pune. The NCP crossed the required number of 37 by securing

39 seats in the Zilla Parishad, as per the information received till the fling

of this report.

As expected, the Pune Zilla Parishad went to NCP

(Ajit Pawar) group following his death in a plane crash in Baramati on January

28. His party is also expected to come victorious in the Panchayat Samiti

elections.
