New Delhi, 09 February (H.S.): Global rating agency Moody's Ratings forecasted on Monday that India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will grow at 6.4% in fiscal year 2026-27, leading all G20 economies.

The projection, from Moody's Monday banking system outlook report, credits robust domestic consumption, policy initiatives, and banking stability—despite prospective MSME strains offset by banks' strong loss provisions.

Moody's estimate trails Finance Ministry's Economic Survey band of 6.8-7.2% for FY27. Official FY25-26 growth stands at 7.4%, up from FY24-25's 6.5%.
