The weather in Kolkata is expected to remain largely clear over the next 24 hours, with the possibility of light fog during the early morning hours. As the day progresses, skies are likely to remain clear.
According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 26 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may be close to 14 degrees Celsius. On Friday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 26.5 degrees Celsius, which was 1.8 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature stood at 14.4 degrees Celsius, around 2.5 degrees below the seasonal average.
In terms of humidity, the maximum relative humidity was recorded at 78 per cent, while the minimum stood at 38 per cent. No rainfall was recorded in the city over the past 24 hours. Rainfall data remained nil from 6:30 am on February 6 to 6:30 am on February 7, as well as after 8:30 am on February 6.
With these weather conditions, residents are likely to experience a mild chill during the early morning and nighttime hours, while daytime sunshine is expected to provide some relief.
