Guwahati, 07 February (HS): A man was killed and another seriously injured after a dumper hit a motorcycle in the Tetelia area of Guwahati. Police said on Saturday that the accident occurred near the Radisson Blu Hotel, where the dumper rammed into the bike, killing the rider on the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Sutradhar. The pillion rider, Mintu Das, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.

Following the incident, the dumper driver abandoned the vehicle at the scene and fled. Police have registered a case, taken custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway. -----------
