07 Feb (HS): Three men were killed on the spot, while two others suffered

serious injuries after their car drove off the road, turned over many times,

and crashed into a ditch here on Saturday morning, according to authorities. According

to the police, five people were in a private cab traveling from Gurugram,

Haryana, to Ganeshpur village in the Kurawali area of Mainpuri district to

attend a wedding ceremony when the driver lost control of the vehicle at a

sharp turn near the Bawli canal on Sakit Road, within the jurisdiction of

Malawan police station. According to authorities, the automobile, which was

traveling at a fast speed, drove off the road, first hitting a tree and then

rolling over three times before plunging into a 15-foot-deep ditch on the

roadside.

According

to reports, the car's passengers were locked inside for around 15 minutes

following the crash. When bystanders heard their cries, they hurried to the

scene and, with considerable difficulty, forced open the car door and hauled

out the injured. RK Singh, Malawan Station House Officer, stated that three

individuals died on the scene and two others were critically injured. Shivam

Yadav (21), Sunil Yadav (23), and Manki (19) were all inhabitants of Mainpuri.

The police have submitted the remains for postmortem inspection and notified

the relatives, according to the officer. Rahul (28) and Khushboo (22) were

among those injured and have been admitted to Veerangana Avantibai Medical

College in Etah for treatment, he said.

and photos related to the incident have also surfaced, which depict the

severity of the accident, the officer said, adding that preliminary

investigation has revealed that the cause of the accident was speeding and

losing control of the vehicle at a dangerous turn.
