
Dubai, 06 February (H.S.): On Friday, the ICC announced a high-profile commentary panel for the Men's T20 World Cup 2026, starting February 7 across India and Sri Lanka, to be spearheaded by Ravi Shastri, Nasser Hussain, Ian Smith, and Ian Bishop.
The lineup features 40 commentators, blending former greats and current stars for the tournament's 55 matches. Key inclusions are ex-T20 World Cup winners Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Kumar Sangakkara, Samuel Badree, Robin Uthappa, and Carlos Brathwaite, alongside ICC World Test Championship holder Temba Bavuma and 2014 champion Angelo Mathews.
India enters as defending champions, aiming to become the first team to retain the T20 World Cup title with a third triumph. Boasting 48 wins in 56 T20Is since October 2023 and a recent series sweep over New Zealand, they launch their campaign on February 7 against the USA at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
