Riyadh, 06 February (H.S.): On Friday, Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo was once again omitted from Al-Nassr's matchday squad for their Saudi Pro League clash against Al-Ittihad, marking his second consecutive absence following the February 2 league fixture against Al-Riyadh.

Portuguese outlet A Bola reports escalating rumors that the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is dissatisfied with Al-Nassr's subdued activity during the winter transfer window.

Ronaldo's current deal with Al-Nassr has 18 months remaining; he joined from Manchester United in 2022, becoming the league's marquee figure and drawing several European stars in his wake.

A league spokesperson clarified to BBC Sport: Since joining, Cristiano has been fully committed to Al-Nassr and played a pivotal role in the club's ambitions and growth. As a top competitor, he wants to win. However, no player—no matter how big—dictates decisions outside the club. Recent transfer activities demonstrate this: clubs strengthened differently within financial limits.

Ronaldo's Impressive RecordAcross 127 appearances for Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has scored 111 goals and provided 22 assists, securing the club's sole trophy, the Arab Club Champions Cup.
