Guwahati, 05 February (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday launched the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) newly announced ‘Booth Vijay Abhiyan’ from Booth No. 32 of the Jalukbari Assembly constituency of Guwahati City, aimed at strengthening grassroots outreach ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.

Interacting with party workers and local residents, the Chief Minister said the campaign has been initiated to connect directly with voters through door-to-door engagement at the booth level. He stated that under the ‘Booth Vijay Abhiyan’, BJP workers will visit every household in each booth and hoist the party flag in every home.

Dr. Sarma emphasised that the entire exercise would be carried out only with the consent of families, underlining the party’s focus on voluntary participation and direct interaction with voters. He expressed confidence that the campaign would play a significant role in mobilising grassroots support and further strengthening the BJP’s organisational presence across Assam.

Meanwhile, BJP State President and Member of Parliament Dilip Saikia also launched the ‘Booth Vijay Abhiyan’ in his parliamentary constituency of Darrang–Udalguri. He said party workers would reach out to every household to engage with people and inform them about the party’s programmes and initiatives.

Saikia added that the campaign is aimed at reinforcing the party at the grassroots level. He noted that the strategy was formulated recently in Delhi in the presence of the BJP’s national president, under which every MP and MLA will reach out to as many households as possible to establish direct communication with voters.-----------
