Thane, 05 Feb (HS): Following major traffic block on

Mumbai-Pune Expressway that took about 32 hours to clear the road, a good truck

met with an accident on Nashik-Mumbai Highway blocking the traffic on both the

sides. The accident occurred on Thursday morning near Rustomji Complex in Thane.

The bottleneck caused a major problems for the traffic moving towards Mumbai

from Nashik and Bhiwandi.

Although no casualty has been reported, the administration

and traffic police were facing problems in lifting the very heavy truck. The

vehicles on the road were frustrated as they were unable to move as the work on

widening of the road is in progress.

The police has advised using inner lanes, which is

difficult for the heavy vehicles. The inner lanes were also chocked posing

problems for the local residents.
