Chennai, 03 February (H.S.) : In a bold and satirical address marking the third anniversary of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), party founder and actor-turned-politician VIJAY made a provocative claim involving Chief Minister MK STALIN. Speaking to a massive gathering of party cadres in Mahabalipuram on Tuesday, VIJAY referred to the Chief Minister’s previous statements regarding sleepless nights due to internal party issues.
He asserted that if the DMK president were to be woken suddenly from a deep slumber and asked for his choice, even he would name the 'whistle'—the official election symbol of TVK. He argued that individuals often speak the raw truth when startled from sleep, reflecting the growing influence of his political movement.
During the event, VIJAY positioned TVK as the true whistleblower of Tamil Nadu politics, tasked with exposing systemic flaws and advocating for the common man. He urged his supporters to intensify their booth-level mobilization efforts across both urban and rural landscapes, declaring that the symbol of the whistle has already successfully penetrated every village in the state.
According to the TVK leader, the strength of the party lies not in traditional political maneuvering but in the support of families who view the movement as their own. He emphasized that the general public remains their most significant and reliable alliance heading into the 2026 Assembly elections.
Responding to critics who have questioned his public presence and media engagement, VIJAY delivered a sharp rebuttal, stating that his absence from the traditional limelight should not be mistaken for inaction. He remarked that on the day of voting, a VIJAY and a VIJI from every household would emerge with their voter IDs to silence the opposition at the polling booths.
By invoking these common names, he sought to demonstrate a deep-rooted connection with the masses. The actor-politician’s speech has sparked a fresh wave of political debate in the state, as the TVK continues to position itself as a formidable challenger to the established Dravidian majors.
