
Nagpur, 28 Feb (HS): Mahavir
International Service Trust, Nagpur, in collaboration with Inali Foundation,
Pune, and Rotary Club of Poona Downtown, is organizing a Free Prosthetic Hand
Donation Camp for amputees and specially-abled individuals from Nagpur and
across India. The camp will be held on 6th and 7th March 2026, from 9:00 am to
5:00 pm, at Mahavir International Service Trust, Near Sindhi Guru Sangat,
Sadar, Nagpur.
The initiative aims
to benefit 250–300 individuals, who will receive advanced electronic prosthetic
hands free of cost, helping them regain independence, confidence, and dignity
in their daily lives.
Apart from its
flagship Jaipur Foot program, its projects include LN-4 Artificial Hands,
Physiotherapy Centre, Homeopathy Clinic, Pregnancy to Infancy Project (monthly
Poshan Kits), distribution of Baby Kits, nutritious food support for students,
and sanitary pad distribution for underprivileged women. The prostheric hand are light weight, user-freindly, and highly functional for performing routine tasks like eating, writing, holding objects, using mobile phones etc. A non-profit organisation fonder by Prashant Gade, Inali Foundation, Pune has distributed more that 13,000 prosthetic hands in India during the last eight years.
