28 Feb (HS): Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on

Saturday paid humble tribute to the country's first President and 'Bharat

Ratna' awardee Dr. Rajendra Prasad by garlanding and offering flowers on his

portrait at his official residence at 7 Kalidas Marg in Lucknow on the occasion

of his death anniversary.

On

this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Dr.

Rajendra Prasad's personality symbolizes the strong foundation of Indian

democracy, sacrifice, simplicity, and service to the nation. His incomparable

contribution to the freedom struggle and his crucial role in the drafting of

the Constitution will always be remembered. He discharged his duties as the

country's first President with utmost dignity, impartiality, and dedication,

setting an example for generations to come.

said that Dr. Rajendra Prasad's life teaches us that even in high positions,

simplicity, humility, and national interest should always be paramount. His

unwavering commitment to democratic values and dedication to public service

will always be a source of inspiration for all of us. The Deputy Chief Minister

called on the people of the state to embrace Dr. Rajendra Prasad's ideals and

strengthen democratic traditions by playing an active role in nation-building.
