(HS): The two-day 9th Annual Athletic Meet 2025-26 at Sam Higginbottom
University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS) concluded today
with grand celebrations at the University Sports Stadium. After a series of
high-energy competitions, Yellow House claimed the prestigious Overall
Championship Trophy. The formal closing of the meet was announced by Prof.
(Dr.) C. John Wesley, Additional Registrar and Chairman of the Athletic
Committee. In his address, he congratulated both the winning and participating
teams, emphasizing that sports build confidence and teach resilience during
life's toughest moments. He remarked that Success in sports comes through hard
work and consistent practice. I urge our athletes to strive for excellence and
bring glory to SHUATS at the national level. He also lauded the exemplary
leadership of Ashish Massey, Head of the Physical Education Department and
Secretary of the Athletic Committee, for the seamless execution of the event.

A special 'Guest
Memento' was presented to Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, a distinguished alumnus
from the batch of 1975. The ceremony was attended by Prof. Aftab Alam, Dr.
Samala S. Masih, Dr. Sunita B. John, Dr. Vikram Singh, Mr. Indresh Rajwade, and
a large number of faculty and students. The event concluded with the National
Anthem, filling the stadium with patriotic fervor, followed by a vibrant
musical celebration where students and staff joined together in joy and
excitement.
