Sivasagar (Assam), 28 February (HS): An engineer was killed on the spot in a tragic road accident that took place in the Bhatiapara area of Sivasagar district.

According to police on Saturday, the deceased has been identified as Vidyajit Baruah. The accident occurred in the Bhatiapara locality under the district, leading to his instantaneous death.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and took custody of the body, which was later sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination. An FIR has been registered in connection with the incident, and further investigation is underway, police added.---------
