26 Feb (HS): Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, visited the

headquarters of FANUC Corporation in Oshino-mura, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan.

He visited with CEO Kenji Yamaguchi to talk about industrial automation and

technology. The visit was part of a bigger program under which the Uttar

Pradesh government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Yamanashi

Prefecture to work on technologies such as green hydrogen.

His

post on X, reads as follows: “Visited FANUC Corporation in Yamanashi and

interacted with Mr. Kenji Yamaguchi, Representative Director, President and

CEO. Had the opportunity to tour the shopfloor and witness cutting-edge

advancements in robotics, industrial automation and smart manufacturing that

are shaping the future of Industry 4.0. Impressed by the company’s strong focus

on R&D, which has enabled it to emerge as a global leader in advanced

manufacturing. Such engagements strengthen our focus on innovation, skill

development and next-generation industrial partnerships.”

FANUC,

located in Yamanashi, is a global leader in industrial Automation (FA),

robotics, and ROBOMACHINES. FANUC has been combining Artificial Intelligence

(AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to boost industrial automation, improve

efficiency, and allow robots to learn. FANUC is collaborating with NVIDIA to

use their AI platform for deep learning in robot training. The business is

developing Physical AI and digital twins to enhance robot

capabilities, such as voice commands, for industrial applications.
