Lucknow,

26 Feb (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's four-day visit to

Singapore and Japan, accompanied by Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, Industrial

Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and a team of officials, was a

remarkable success in terms of investment, technology, and global partnerships.

During investment dialogues held in both countries, MoUs worth Rs. 1.5 lakh

crore were signed, while investment proposals worth Rs. 2.5 lakh crore were

received. This visit will prove to be a milestone in making Uttar Pradesh a one

trillion dollar economy by 2029-30.

Unprecedented

success on Japan tour: During the investment dialogue held in Japan, the state

government received MoUs and investment proposals worth thousands of crores of

rupees. Among the major companies with whom MoUs were signed during the

investment dialogue were Kubota Corporation, Spark Minda (in collaboration with

Toyo Denso), Japan Aviation Electronics Industry, and Nagase & Co., Ltd.

The B2G meeting saw participation from leading companies such as Suzuki Motor

Corporation, Honda Cars India Ltd., Konoike Transport Co., Ltd., Mitsui &

Co., Ltd., Rapidus Corporation, Marubeni Corporation, Sumitomo Realty &

Development Co., Ltd., and MUFG Bank. These companies' key investment areas

included agricultural machinery, auto OEMs and components, auto R&D,

semiconductors, data centers, green hydrogen, power-to-gas, compressed biogas,

ESDM, logistics, and warehousing.

Establishment

of Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence: Promoting green energy cooperation

during the Japan visit, the establishment of a Green Hydrogen Centre of

Excellence in collaboration with the University of Yamanashi, Yamanashi

Hydrogen Company, IIT Kanpur, Harcourt Butler Technical University, IIT BHU and

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology was announced.

Development

of 'Japan City' and Auto Cluster: A Japan City will be developed on

500 acres in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA)

area, creating a dedicated industrial environment for Japanese companies. A

dedicated auto cluster and R&D facilities will also be established for OEMs

and component manufacturers. The Japan desk at Invest UP will be

strengthened, with monitoring directly by the Chief Minister's Office. Japan

will also promote technology transfer, skill development, joint ventures, and

supply chain integration in Uttar Pradesh's MSME sector.

train and FANUC plant tour: The Chief Minister, accompanied by Finance Minister

Suresh Khanna, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, and
