Chennai, 18 February (H.S.) : The fifth edition of the Intellion Futsal League (IFL Season 5) has successfully concluded at Chennai's Intellion Park, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of corporate sports.

The tournament, organized by Tata Realty, saw over 100 corporate teams competing across Gurgaon and Chennai, reflecting a 50 percent increase in participation compared to the previous season. In the high-stakes finals, Citi emerged as the champions in the men's category, while Taj Wellington Mews secured the title in the women's category, showcasing the league's commitment to gender inclusivity in sports.

Under the core philosophy of 'Play for Good,' the league integrated social and environmental responsibility into its framework. A total of 124 matches were played, resulting in 365 goals, which translated into the donation of 36 football kits for children in Chennai.

Ritesh Sachdev, Senior Vice President at Tata Realty, highlighted that the event serves as a powerful platform for community-building and positive social impact beyond just competition. The season emphasized sustainability by using jerseys made from recycled PET bottles and implementing green energy solutions like shared hydration stations to reduce single-use plastic.

Digital-first initiatives also played a key role in minimizing the event's environmental footprint, featuring paperless certificates and digital photo libraries. By replacing plastic flex with sustainable fabric branding and utilizing green generators, the league set a new standard for responsible corporate events.

Beyond the trophies, the IFL Season 5 reinforced its objective of using sports as a catalyst for employee well-being and professional networking while delivering measurable benefits to the environment and the local community.
