
New Delhi, 14 February (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled the statue of Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the architect of national resurgence and the first Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), at the Dr. Hedgewar Arogya Sansthan premises in Shahdara on Saturday.
The event took place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, marking a momentous occasion as the RSS celebrates its centenary year. In an X post, the Chief Minister described the moment as profoundly proud, noting that the seed of purpose sown by Dr. Hedgewar on the auspicious Vijayadashami day in 1925 has grown into a colossal banyan tree dedicated ceaselessly to Mother India's service.
Rekha Gupta emphasized that Hedgewar's path of character-building leading to societal organization has become the bedrock of India's cultural renaissance. She affirmed the commitment, aligned with the RSS centenary resolve, to restore India to its ancient glory and elevate it to the pinnacle of supreme splendor. The statue at the Arogya Sansthan will perpetually inspire the ethos of service as true devotion and nation first.
The unveiling was attended by key dignitaries including Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, MLAs Om Prakash Sharma, Abhay Verma, Sanjay Goyal, and Anil Goyal, among other prominent figures.
