New Delhi, 09 January (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Ahmedabad on January 12 during the latter's inaugural official visit to India on January 12-13, at Modi's invitation, as announced by the Prime Minister's Office Friday.

The itinerary commences around 9:30 a.m. with a joint visit to Sabarmati Ashram, followed by participation in the International Kite Festival at Sabarmati Riverfront by 10:00 a.m., culminating in comprehensive discussions from 11:15 a.m. at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.

Deepening 25-Year Strategic Partnership

Leaders will review progress in the India-Germany strategic partnership marking 25 years, prioritizing enhanced collaboration in trade-investment, technology, education, skills development-mobility, defense-security, science-innovation-research, and green-sustainable development.

Dialogues will also address regional-global issues, complemented by interactions with business-industry leaders from both nations, signaling renewed momentum in Europe's largest economy's ties with India's rising global heft.
