
New Delhi/Lumbini(Nepal) 09 January (H.S.): Lieutenant General RS Raman, Director General of Military Intelligence for the Indian Army, visited Lumbini on Thursday, where he was warmly welcomed by Deepak Shrestha, Member Secretary of the Lumbini Development Fund.
Raman toured the site's premier religious and historical landmarks, meticulously inspecting the Maya Devi Temple, Pushkarini Pond, and the sacred peepal tree planted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shrestha presented Raman with a statue of Lord Buddha as a gesture of appreciation during the visit.
