Guwahati, 31 January (HS): The State Bharatiya Janata Party on Saturday expressed deep grief over the tragic and mysterious death of four youths from Assam in Bengaluru and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.

In a statement issued to the media, the State BJP said Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has already spoken to Karnataka Chief Minister over the phone regarding the matter. The Chief Minister has also been in touch with the Bengaluru Police Commissioner to seek details and monitor developments related to the case.

The party informed that the Chief Minister has issued necessary instructions to ensure that the mortal remains of the deceased youths are brought back to Assam with due dignity and respect, extending all possible support to the bereaved families.

Demanding a fair, transparent and comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances leading to the deaths, the State BJP urged the Congress-led Karnataka government to take immediate and decisive action to ascertain the truth and ensure justice.-----------
