Bhubaneswar, 30 January (H.S.) : The Sixth Session of the Seventeenth Odisha Legislative Assembly will commence on February 17, 2026, with the Governor’s Address, according to the provisional calendar of sittings released on Friday.

The session will open with the customary Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s Address, followed by discussions over the next two days. The State Budget for the financial year 2026–27 is scheduled to be presented on February 20.

General discussion on the Budget will take place on February 23 and 24 after designated no-meeting days. The Assembly will then reconvene in March for detailed discussions on Demands for Grants, beginning March 9.

The Appropriation Bill for the 2026–27 Budget is slated to be taken up on March 31.
