Saharanpur,
19 Jan (HS): The bodies of five members of the same family were found in a room
in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased included Amin, his wife, mother, and
two sons. All five had gunshot wounds to their foreheads. Amin and his wife's
bodies were found on the floor, while those of his mother and two children were
found on the bed. Three pistols were found nearby. Upon receiving the
information, police officers and a forensic team arrived at the scene and
conducted an investigation. The house has been sealed. Everyone's mobile phones
have been confiscated.
The
station house officer said the deceased were identified as Amin Ashok (40), his
wife Anjita (37), mother Vidyawati (70) and two sons Kartik (16) and Dev (13). Ashok
had taken over his father's job as a dependent of the deceased after his death.
He was an Amin in the Nakur tehsil. Son Dev was a 9th-grade student at MTS
Public School in the town, while Kartik was a 10th-grade student at an
inter-college in Nakur. Neighbors say the family was peaceful and had no conflicts
with anyone.
Senior
Superintendent of Police Ashish Tiwari said that all the bodies were found in
the same room. Three pistols were recovered near the bodies. Police suspect
that Amin first shot his mother, wife, and two sons and then shot himself. Police
are also investigating whether family debt, job-related stress, domestic
disputes, or psychological pressure may have led Amin to take this extreme
step.
A
family quarrel broke out over something, and during that time, someone fired
shots at family members in anger. He may have then shot himself. Police are
also investigating this angle. The police are also investigating whether some
outsider entered the house and killed everyone. Police are investigating
whether the family had any disputes, financial dealings, or enmity with anyone.
Footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined. Neighbors are also being
questioned. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and the
incident will be revealed soon.
